The HERKLOTS Coat of Arms appears on the wall of the town hall in Middelberg (southern Holland). The first Herklots to move to the Netherlands was Gregorius H. (1700-1760) who settled in Middelberg.

Herklotsii Bamboo was named after Jeremy Herklots' father, Geoffrey Alton Craig Herklots.

There is a fish named "herklotsichthys" (Herklots herring).
Origin unknown - possibly located off the coast of Australia and possibly named after Janus Herklots.
